This is currently a work in progress.
Simple Machines is a new, hands-on educational field trip that originated this year from a request by one of the teachers visiting the farm. (Available only in the Spring.)
This school tour to the farm is designed to gather
information about the following types of simple machines: wedge, screw, inclined plane, pulley, lever, wheel and axle.
Our goal is to be a facilitator. We will use related vocabulary: motion, work, simple machine, compound machine, force, gravity, speed and weight. Everyone will enjoy our Simple Machine Scavenger Hunt, exploring the farm area for examples of each type of simple machine.
